Nostalgic Treasures is an affiliate of TC Swingin' Hepcats (a swing dance/World War II company at www.swinginhepcats.com). This is a home-based, 1-1/2 person business. In real life Roger is a weed scientist (agronomist) at the University of Minnesota, and I have just finished my Ph.D. in history (here's a link to the first pages of my dissertation on sexual violence during World War II). Roger helps out when needed with the business – he is the crucial ½ person!

NostalgicTreasures came about to reach others (besides swing dancers) who are also interested in World War II, general history and small things, such as the Quarry Critters, that make you smile. Everything I sell is something that somehow has meaning to me.

As lindy hopper performers since 1995, Roger and I teach lindy hop and six count (east coast) swing in St. Paul once or twice a week, social dance, and travel to shows as much as possible. We were members of a performing dance team for over four years.

For the last three years (as of August 1, 2001) our dancing lives have been blessed by a future dancer (perhaps) named Cora. For the time being we dance less, but smile just as often, if not more! A special thanks to all who have danced with us, been kind to us and others, and to organizers in our own community and in other areas who have generously supported my business.
